The name DVS is derived from the word devious as well as the initials of the master artist and owner, Donna Vie Santos, aka DV. Her interest in beauty started as a young child stealing lipsticks from her mother’s vanity. These days, makeup, skincare, or beauty, in general, are bigger than ever! Before the term ‘makeup guru’ or YouTube blew up she would be spending her time researching and trying different products and makeup looks. It would drive her mother crazy on how many products she would circle in the Avon catalog each time a new one would come out (90’s baby!). From the colorful eyeshadows, frosted lips, grungy eyeliner, thin brows to body shimmer, and everything in between. She’s tried it all!

Confidence is SEXY! Yes, it’s internal and more than just what you see on the outside, but let’s face it! It doesn’t matter whether it’s from the clothes you wear, the things you do, the person you’re with, or the makeup on your face. Feeling good even when it’s getting dolled up makes a difference in one’s overall confidence. It’s the “lipstick effect.” Her mission is to up your game and have you leave the studio as the best version of yourself: confident, bold, and beautiful.

She is known for her meticulous and creative approach in everything she does. Not only is she a skilled cosmetic tattoo artist in Las Vegas, but she is also a talented Lifestyle Photographer. On her free time she enjoys kickboxing, music festivals, live sporting events, traveling, taking her furbaby on walks, anything beauty related and spending quality time with loved ones.

DV was born and raised on the beautiful island of Maui, Hawaii. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology degree from Hawaii Pacific University. Her professional career spans from an internship with a major internationally known hotel brand in college to over a decade of experience in all facets of Human Resources. She is well versed in process improvement, training and development, salary negotiations, strategic sourcing, project management, business partnerships, and more. 

Throughout the years she found herself feeling like something was lacking and wanted to have more freedom to pursue other interests. The question was, what stood in her way all this time? Fear of failure! And simply put, she was just comfortable. Amidst the chaos of the pandemic, she found courage and motivation. Not long after, she took a leap of faith and left her corporate job at a Fortune 500 Company to return to her passion for all things creative. She is relentless yet humble and loves meeting new people!
